According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, bricklayers and stonemasons are a skill in demand with employers finding it hard to fill vacancies. This large occupation is expected to create around 13,000 job openings over the next five years.
In this course you will apply the skills you have learned at work and continue to develop your ability to work with building materials to build veneer or full brick constructions. You will work with clay, concrete, masonry and other building materials to create walls, partitions, arches, steps, stairs and other brick or block constructions. You'll learn how to build curved structures and create ornamental brickwork.
Successful completion of this course will qualify you to work in building trades as a qualified bricklayer or blocklayer.
