Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course is designed for those working in the construction trades as a bricklayer. Delivered on-site in a flexible way that suits your work, we will come to your work site and assess you while working. The delivery is designed to fit in with a modern working environment including online content and workplace simulations.
This qualification provides a trade outcome in bricklaying and blocklaying. Occupational titles may include: Bricklayer Blocklayer. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as two specialist fields of work. The construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or very closely simulated workplace environment and this qualification requires all units of competency to be delivered in this context. Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.

Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
To be eligible for this course you must be currently working in the industry as a bricklayer, with a minimum 5 years experience and access to a live worksite. You must also satisfy the prerequisite numeracy and literacy skills.
