According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, the number of people working as bicycle mechanics grew strongly over the last five years with stable future growth predicted for the industry. Employers are looking for qualified candidates who are reliable, have a good work ethic, and can work well in a team.

You will learn to diagnose problems, and repair and service wheel hubs, mechanical and hydraulic braking systems, steering and suspension, and more. You will also develop skills and knowledge associated with designing, building and repairing wheels and frames, and removing and fitting accessories. Our highly-experienced team of industry professionals will guide you through a broad range of practical and mechanical skills on a variety of bicycles and provide links to industry to help develop your career.

Successful completion of this course will provide the knowledge and practical skills you need to confidently work within the bicycle retail and repair industry, and, if completed as part of an apprenticeship, allows you to apply for a trade qualification.
