Certificate III in Applied Fashion Design and Technology
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification provides the skills and knowledge required to work in applied design and production roles within the clothing and fashion industry.
This qualification is suitable for workers producing fashion products with a basic understanding of sewing skills for garment alterations, specialist machinist, support roles in pattern making, cutting garments, marker making and production of garments. It is aimed at reskilling and reentering the workforce.
Items to be produced would include a single or small range of products. This qualification is particularly suitable for those who are self-employed undertaking low volume production of items for local distribution outlets, for example, markets and those people looking for good job prospects in garment manufacturing.
