Develop the essential knowledge and skills required to become an appliance service repair technician. With the electrical services industry one of the largest special construction industries in Australia, there is high demand for qualified workers with over 50,000 job openings in the next five years.
In this course you will learn how to set up, service and repair electrical and refrigerated appliances. Gain practical skills in solving problems in extra-low voltage (ELV) single path circuits, connecting refrigerant tubing and fittings, and using drawings, diagrams, schedules, standards, codes and specifications in various energy sector work functions. You'll also gain industry-relevant skills in occupational health and safety and applying environmentally sustainable work practices.
