Certificate III in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Begin your career in health with this entry-level qualification. This course will give you the core skills needed to address health issues faced by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities. According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, the number of people working as Indigenous health workers grew very strongly over the past five years. Stable future growth is predicted in this industry with employers looking for candidates who are caring, compassionate and have good social skills.
This course will give you the foundation knowledge needed to undertake basic health assessments, identify community health issues, needs and strategies, provide information and strategies in chronic condition care, and assist with basic health screening, promotion and education. Our highly-experienced and passionate teaching team will give you the one-on-one guidance to succeed in your studies.
Successful completion of this course will give you the skills to become an Aboriginal health care worker in an admin support, health promotion, or aged and disability care role.
