About Ipswich State High School

The Ipswich State High School is one of the largest school-based Registered Training Organisations in Queensland, offering over 30 nationally recognised certificate courses, but was also acknowledged in 2019 as the most successful school RTO in the State by the Minister for Employment and Small Business and Minister for Training and Skills Development, Shannon Fentiman.

Ipswich State High School is the home of the $5 million Ipswich Regional Trade Training Centre, and the $10 million X Block Performing Arts Centre. In 2021 we will be opening a new, state of the art STEM centre, partnering with kitsunei to deliver 21st century learnings in coding and robotics.

Ipswich High has a dedicated Student Wellbeing Faculty that aims to develop a safe, supportive and inclusive school environment through the provision of support services such as Young Families Connect, Peer Mentoring and Success Coach Programs. We are also acknowledged to be one of the leading schools in the Metropolitan Region in promoting and developing the importance of Diversity and Inclusion for all students. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting those students struggling with mental health concerns, refugee families and others who also come from a non-English speaking background, Young Mums, and those who identify as being a member of the LGBTIQ+ community.
