Set yourself on the path to a career in engineering with this entry-level course. This qualification has been specifically developed to reflect the minimum training requirements for employment in the engineering and manufacturing industry.
As part of the manufacturing and design industry, engineering offers the opportunity to be involved in broad-based skills areas driven by technology and design. Employers will increasingly need workers to be multi-skilled and equipped to move across industries to meet demand.
Develop the foundation-level skills required for employment in the manufacturing, engineering and production industries. Learn how to set up and operate computer numeric machine (CNC) processes, foundry processes, automatic moulding equipment, furnace operations, as well as stationary and mobile plant and packaging machines.
Successful completion of this course will qualify you for entry-level roles in engineering and manufacturing such as CNC machine operator, production machinist, or foundry worker. You will also have a solid foundation to advance your career by continuing with further study and training in this field.
