Certificate II in Engineering Studies
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Certificate II in Engineering Studies provides a pre-vocational training pathway into engineering, manufacturing, or related industries.
Studying with GOTAFE, students will get to use problem-solving skills every day. Learning in our professional facilities, students will gain experience in everything from welding and fabrication to interpreting technical drawings. Get hands-on practice welding, and learn about composites, fabrication, mechanics, and machining. Students will also learn important skills in communication and safety practices.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Complete a Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB)an online test to ensure the required literacy & numeracy levels for the course are met.
- Undertake a Pre-training review interview to ensure the course suits their needs and aspirations, and that they are likely to complete the course successfully.
- Prospective VDSS students are required to apply through their School's VET Coordinator or Careers Advisor.
Course fees
- VIC Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the VIC Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
