Certificate II in Engineering Pathways
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This program is designed to prepare you for an apprenticeship in the engineering industry.
The Engineering study program offers pathways to your career as a mechanical fitter/machinist or a fabrication tradesperson (traditionally referred to as boilermaking tradesperson) or specialist welders, sheet metal worker, in metals and manufacturing industries.
Your program contributes 4 units towards your HSC and you may achieve MEM10119 Certificate I in Engineering and a Statement of Attainment towards MEM20422 Certificate II in Engineering Pathways. The work placement component of your program includes 100 days experience with local employers, which the College organises for you.
Engineering students also study the Industrial Technology–Metals and Engineering Technologies Preliminary Course as part of their Year 11 program
