This qualification covers competencies for work level entry program providing grounding in safety and basic skills and knowledge for work in any electrotechnology discipline.

In this course students will undertake a variety of projects developing industry skills. The safe use of hand tools, fixed and portable power tools; cutting, shaping, joining and fixing; using metallic and non-metallic materials; dismantling and assembling equipment; mechanical measurement and marking out; and, reading drawings/diagrams.
