Certificate II In Electrotechnology (Pre-Vocational)
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This pre-vocational course is primarily for school leavers and other new entrants wishing to prepare themselves to gain a traineeship, apprenticeship or other employment in the electrotechnology industry. The course provides an overview of the industry, employment opportunities and the training pathways available. It also includes training in the basic fundamentals of electrical, telecommunication, refrigeration and air conditioning systems as well as workshop experience in fabrication and assembly techniques, wiring, cabling, basic installation skills and use of test equipment. Workplace safety and first aid training are also included.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
If you are a student who is under 17 and has completed year 10, you must provide a Transition form School from your principal to support your application for your chosen course.
If you are a student who is under 17 and has not completed year 10, you must provide correspondence from a Department Regional Director to support your application for your chosen course.
