Certificate II in Electrotechnology

The Certificate II in Electrotechnology is a pre-vocational program aimed at preparing students for an electrotechnology apprenticeship. You will gain practical experience in a hands-on training environment and learn about electrical theory and wiring, work health and safety, solving problems in electrical circuits and identifying and selecting components.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.
  • Be at least 16 years of age; OR
  • Be signed into an approved Training Contract with an employer through an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network
  • Be an Australian/New Zealand Citizen or hold an eligible VISA.
  • Have the ability to read, write and understand basic English and carry out basic mathematical calculations.
  • Have the physical ability to perform practical electrical skills.
  • Be able to commit to the course duration and time commitment.
