Certificate II in Conservation and Ecosystem Management

This qualification provides the student with skills and knowledge to work that are carried out under general guidance and supervision including following workplace safety procedures and directions. Students are also able to learn to perform work in accordance with Community guidelines and cultural protocols. Graduates of this course will be able to work as: Conservation worker - land management, conservation worker - parks and wildlife, earthworks conservation worker, ecosystem restoration worker, indigenous land management worker, parks and wildlife services worker. This qualification provides the skills and knowledge required for work in a defined context and/or for further study in conservation and ecosystem management. The qualification enables individuals to select and develop basic factual, technical and procedural knowledge in conservation and ecosystem management for Indigenous land management, lands, parks and wildlife services and the restoration and rehabilitation of ecosystems.
