According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, the number of people working as bicycle mechanics grew strongly over the last five years with stable future growth predicted for the industry. Employers are looking for qualified candidates who are reliable, have a good work ethic, and can work well in a team.

You will learn routine assembly, servicing and minor repair tasks on a variety of bikes. You will develop basic skills and knowledge in servicing wheel hubs, steering, suspension and drive train systems. You will also learn how to perform minor repairs to tyres and wheels, and install basic accessory fittings.
