Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)There are two streams available in this course to choose from:
Motor Sport Stream. Are you interested in a career in the motorsport industry, such as a motorsport mechanic or technician? In this course, you will learn how to operate in a motorsport environment, service petrol fuel systems and inspect and service transmissions and engines. Suitable students will be offered the opportunity to undertake work placement and you are encouraged to seek your own work placement opportunities.
Mechanical Stream. Are you interested in a career that allows you to perform a range of servicing tasks in the automotive retail, service and repair industry? This course will allow you to identify basic automotive faults using troubleshooting processes, as well as inspect, test and service batteries, braking systems, cooling systems and carry out a number of servicing operations.
