Certificate II in Animal Care
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This is a general qualification to enter into the sectors of the animal care and management industry, where workers provide care for animals in diverse workplaces such as animal shelters, kennels, catteries, sanctuaries, and veterinary clinics. At this level, work takes place under direct supervision within clearly defined guidelines for work activities.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Be at least 17 years of age
- Have completed Year 10, or equivalent
- Be able to undertake work experience placements at an animal care facility and veterinary clinic
- Have access to computers and the internet.
- Learners will be required to participate in practical training in a simulated workplace environment.
- Learners must attend a Pre-Training interview and complete a language, literacy and numeracy quiz before enrolment or the commencement of training.
