This qualification describes the skills and knowledge for general job roles in rural and regional Australia, and supporting job roles in agriculture including livestock production, cropping or in the case of mixed farming workplaces, both cropping and livestock.

In this course the students will be working on a mixed-produce farm, acquiring skills and knowledge in livestock handling, horse knowledge and care, pasture management and working with farm machinery. Students will learn how to prepare and transport animals for shows. Students will be required to attend a show as part of this course.
