Certificate I in Racing (Stablehand)
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Certificate I in Racing reflects the role of individuals working as a trainee stablehand under the direction of a trainer or stable supervisor in a harness or thoroughbred racing stable. It is aimed at students in schools or others requiring pre-employment training in preparation for entry-level employment as a stablehand.
In this course students develop an understanding and knowledge of the prime function of care for the animals and to meet their individual needs of feeding, grooming, exercising, transporting and racing; as well as keeping the environment safe, clean and hygienic.
