Certificate I in Construction
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification provides an introduction to the construction industry, its culture, occupations, job roles and workplace expectations. The units of competency cover essential work health and safety requirements, the industrial and work organisation structure, communication skills, work planning, and basic use of tools and materials. The qualification is built around a basic construction project unit that integrates the skills and embeds the facets of employability skills in context.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Be enrolled in secondary School (years 10, 11 or 12).
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency.
Have not already accessed and exhausted VETiS funding. VETiS funding is only available for one qualification for each student.
Not be enrolled in another qualification (not including foundations skills training).
