Certificate I in Automotive Vocational Preparation
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification is an introductory qualification to the automotive retail, service and repair industries and an entry to further training in several sectors. It is designed for application in a highly supervised context, such as VET in Schools (VETiS) or other equivalent introduction or induction to industry environments. The range of technical skills and knowledge islimited.
In this course students will learn the basics of mechanical systems and components as well as the roles they play in the vehicle. They will learn how to change tyres and conduct vehicle safety checks. The course also helps students to understand workshop environmental and safety requirements as well as their day to day requirements.
