The Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science will develop your knowledge and skills to apply the science of sport and exercise and develop interventions that improve sport performance, health, and fitness, and assist in the prevention of chronic diseases. During your degree, your studies will cover all aspects of sport and exercise science, including anatomy and physiology, psychology, strength and conditioning, exercise prescription, and programming and delivery, alongside professional placements. By combining theoretical knowledge and practical applications with 140 hours of professional placement, you will be well-equipped for the career market.

Pre-requisites

To study this degree, it is assumed that you have sound knowledge in:

  • English (Units 3 & 4, C)

The assumption is that your knowledge is equivalent to a grade C or higher in Units 3 and 4 at high school level (typically studied in Year 12).

  • Tafe (VET) Qualification: If you have completed a qualification from a TAFE or qualified private provider, you may be able to use these qualifications to meet UniSQ's entry requirements. As a TAFE or VET graduate, you can use your Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) awards of certificate III, certificate IV, diploma, or advanced diploma to submit an application to study with UniSQ. The university converts your TAFE or VET qualification and results, along with your past school results and work experience (if applicable), into a selection rank. It is this selection rank that determines which degrees you may meet the entry requirements for.
  • Work and Life Experience: You may be able to use your work experience and other adjustment factors to increase your selection rank and meet UniSQ's entry requirements.

English Language Requirements

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements, and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
