Become an accredited Exercise Scientist with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) and improve the health and performance of individuals, employees, athletes and the community. The Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Sciences takes a multidisciplinary approach to examine humans’ relationship with sport, exercise and physical activity. Theory is combined with hands-on laboratory and practical work so you have the opportunity to develop technical and communication skills.

- English Extension 1 - 25 or above (Band E2 or above)

Australian Capital Territory (ACT Yr 12 Certificate)
- English - Scaled mark 125 or above
- ESL - Scaled mark 125 or above
Combined Universities Language Test (CULT)
Minimum score of 70% (valid for two years only)
Foundation programs Go8 Universities
A pass in the English paper of a Go8 foundation program
Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)
Scores of Verbal - 140, Written English - 140 (minimum) [New STAT format: from 1 May 2010]
Scores of Verbal - 150, Written English - 145 (minimum) [Previous STAT format: before May 2010]
Applicants with recent secondary education (within the past two years)
Australian Year 12 students
To be eligible for UWA’s undergraduate degrees based on previous or current Australian Year 12 studies, applicants must have completed the relevant state Certificate of Education and achieved an Australian Tertiary Aggregate Rank (ATAR) of 75 or above
Applicants with Higher Education Study
To be eligible for UWA’s undergraduate degrees based on previous higher education studies, applicants must have completed one full-time semester or the equivalent of studies at an Australian university and at the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 7 or higher; and have achieved a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 (7) or above. Applicants must also provide evidence of satisfying UWA’s ELC requirements. Applicants who have completed one full-time year or the equivalent of studies at the AQF Level 7 or higher, within the previous two years of application, and achieved a GPA of 4.0 (7) or above are not required to provide separate evidence of ELC to be eligible.
