Bachelor of Physiotherapy
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationAt Notre Dame, we explore every avenue of physiotherapy practice in your on-campus studies and approximately 1000 hours of clinical practice (practicum). You will develop clinical assessment and intervention skills in laboratories, simulated learning environments, and exposure to patients in physiotherapy practices, hospitals or community health settings in urban and rural locations. The program also strongly focuses on evidence-based and reflective practice ensuring graduates will be well prepared to meet the challenge of current and future health provision across the many clinical and non-clinical areas in which Physiotherapists are employed.

Academic Requirements
For admission to this program, applicants must satisfy the following academic requirements. Additionally, all applicants need to meet the minimum requirements outlined at the admission requirements, including age and English Language Proficiency.
Applicants with Recent Secondary Education
Indicative Selection Rank of 90 or equivalent with a score of 50+ in ATAR English, ATAR Literature, or ATAR English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD).
OR
Minimum International Baccalaureate (IB) score of 33.
In order to be a competitive applicant, it is strongly preferred that school leaver prospective students have studied at least one of the following ATAR courses:
- Mathematics Specialist
- Mathematics Methods
- Human Biology
- Physics
- Chemistry
Additionally, students may find ATAR courses in Biology, Physical Education Studies, and/or Mathematics Applications useful preparation for the Physiotherapy program.

Applicants with Higher Education Study
Completion of at least one year of study (full-time equivalent) in another relevant undergraduate university program, with at least a 65% average grade or higher.
In order to be a competitive applicant, it is strongly preferred that mature age prospective students have studied in a health or science-related area, at either an undergraduate or postgraduate level.
