The world of medicine is rapidly advancing. UNE's innovative Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours course is Australia's first and only accredited undergraduate pharmacy degree and can be studied online, with intensive schools, as well as on campus.

Our course emphasises scientific rigour, clinical experience, and develops your critical thinking skills to ensure you are prepared for the vital and changing role of pharmacy in Australia's collaborative healthcare environment.

UNE's flexibly delivered Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours program is available to study either online or on campus. In fact, we were the first university to offer the Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours by distance education.

If you are studying online, our mandatory on campus intensive schools in Armidale allow you to take advantage of our modern teaching and research facilities.

With higher education study

You can apply for this course if you have undertaken any of the following qualifications with an appropriate Grade Point Average (GPA):

  • Undergraduate Certificates
  • Diplomas
  • Advanced Diplomas/Associate degrees
  • Bachelor degrees
  • Postgraduate degrees

If you are currently studying another undergraduate qualification at UNE, you can apply to transfer into this course. To be assessed for admission you must have completed:

  • At least 4 units of study within a single course, including CHEM110 Chemistry I and MTHS110 Quantitative Skills with Applications, with a minimum GPA of 4.6
  • OR 5 or more units of study within a single course, including CHEM110 Chemistry I and MTHS110 Quantitative Skills with Applications with a minimum GPA of 4.3.

With Vocational Education and Training (VET) study

You can apply for this course if you have undertaken VET studies.

Work and life experience

You can apply for this course on the basis of work and/or life experience via at least one of the following methods:

  • Professional Experience
  • Mature Age Special Entry
  • Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)
