Bachelor of Nursing (Honours)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationThis is a prestigious program of coursework and research in Nursing for high achieving students who have completed the Bachelor of Nursing or a comparable degree course.
You will undertake research methodology training and carry out an independent research project in nursing or midwifery, working closely with a supervisor who will provide you with individual guidance and academic counselling.
This course offers a pathway to higher-level research in nursing for graduates with a Nursing degree.
If you have both a degree in nursing and a degree in midwifery you may, with agreement of their supervisor, undertake a combined honours over the one year of full-time study in both fields.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Successful completion of the Monash Bachelor of Nursing for those wishing to undertake a research project in nursing, or the Monash Bachelor of Midwifery or Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery (Honours) for those wishing to undertake a research project in midwifery, with a distinction average (at least 70%) in the final full two years of study as well as distinction average in 24 points at level 3 or above in the discipline; OR
- A qualification and achievement level in nursing from another institution comparable in content and academic standards.
