Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationThis is a prestigious program in medical research for high achieving students who are currently undertaking, or have completed, a relevant undergraduate medical degree. You will undertake research methodology training and carry out an independent research project on your selected topic, working closely with a supervisor who will provide you with individual guidance and academic counselling. The course offers a pathway to higher level research in medicine.

Admission Criteria:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
Currently enrolled in a medical degree and successfully completed one of the following with at least an equivalent Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60% (a Monash credit average):
- Three or more years of the Direct entry Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at Monash University
- Two or more years of the Graduate entry Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at Monash University
- Currently enrolled in a national or international medical degree accredited by an agency recognized by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) and have completed study equivalent to at least 3 years of the Monash undergraduate entry Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine program with equivalent curriculum content, learning outcome, and academic standards as determined by the Faculty
- Graduated with a medical degree from a recognized medical program accredited by an agency recognized by the WFME, with a WAM of at least 60%
- At least two years of clinical training after graduation from their medical degree
English Entry Requirements
Sound English language skills are required for academic programs at Monash University.
English Language Test
English language tests must be taken at an official test center and within two years of the proposed course commencement date. Home-based tests such as TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition and PTE Academic Online are not accepted.
