Therefore the need for qualified network security specialists is growing and you're skills will always be in demand.
In the Bachelor of Information Technology (Cyber and Network Security) you will acquire the technical skills needed to work as a cyber-security specialist in the fast-growing and dynamic IT industry. Learn to protect data and information, develop solutions for the control and protection against cybercrime and use innovative technologies to manage cyber security threats.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
You must demonstrate that you have achieved one of the following:
- A NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or its equivalent as evidenced by a certified copy of your certificate or transcript OR
- A Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation or its equivalent as evidenced by a certified copy of your certificate or transcript OR
- A completed certificate IV or higher vocational qualification as evidenced by a certified copy of your certificate or transcript
You must also:
- Submit a 500-word essay that shows your motivation to study and work in the information technology industry
- Attend a pre-admission interview where you may also be asked to complete a short literacy and numeracy task - this helps us to understand how we can support your study success and provide you with any necessary support
- Have mathematics knowledge to HSC level or equivalent before entering this course, or you may be required to undertake a bridging program or preparatory course
Note: Your certificates, transcripts and other entry requirement evidence must be certified through a Justice of the Peace or other authorising officer
