Bachelor of Human Services (Honours)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationYou will build on the key concepts developed in the Bachelor of Human Services - learning and socialisation, individual behaviour, human interaction, life stage development, as well as normative and deviant behaviour in culturally specific and multicultural contexts. Students will learn to conduct and disseminate research based on the principles of the behavioural sciences and documenting human behaviour.
Your thesis may be publishable and make a significant contribution to the field, which means your research might establish your professional reputation and act as a gateway to future jobs possibilities.
Graduates have gone on to fulfil significant roles in a range of different public and private services including youth services, human services, public and social policy areas, the criminal justice system including prisons and community corrections and Community services including community consultation and engagement work.
The honours year in human services is available part-time so you can keep up with your personal or professional responsibilities.

A Bachelor of Human Services from UQ with a GPA of 5 in Part A compulsory courses. Or an approved degree and satisfy the Executive Dean that the applicant is suitably qualified to undertake honours, who may be subject to the completion of additional work if set by the Executive Dean.

English language requirements
- IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6.
- TOEFL iBT (including Paper Edition) - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19.
- PTE Academic - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands.
- BE - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills.
- CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands.
- OET is not accepted.
