In your Health Sciences degree, you will develop the ability to critically approach new challenges in contemporary healthcare and be equipped to enter the workforce in a variety of health-related sectors or pursue postgraduate studies in a health-related discipline.

The flexibility of the Health Sciences degree allows you to specialise in an area of interest. Specialisations include Ageing, Health Management, Health Promotion, Innovation, Digital Health, Physiology & Neuroscience, Psychology and Therapy studies. All specialisations offer placements in a wide range of health-related industries and settings. You can work within a health, community, or research setting to develop and enhance your work-ready skills.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

Year 12 admission pathways

  • If you’ve finished Year 12 (and do not have more than 2 years of higher education study), or are currently studying Year 12 and complete the SACE/IB (or interstate equivalent) you are eligible to compete for uni entry via your Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).   • You could also be eligible for guaranteed entry through your ATAR or your best three year 12 grades, as well as adjustment factors that may help boost your ATAR.

Vocational education and training (VET)

  • If you have TAFE/VET qualifications (Cert 3 or higher) you are eligible to apply.

Higher education

  • If you have completed the equivalent of at least one semester (full-time) but no more than the equivalent of two years (full-time) of a higher education course you may be considered for entry to most courses on the basis of your higher education results or any other qualifications that meet the University's entry requirements (eg Year 12 results or VET qualifications).
  • If you have completed more than the equivalent of two years (full-time) of a higher education course you will normally be considered for entry on the basis of your higher education results only.
