Understand the scientific foundations of human movement and fitness, then use your knowledge to help individuals reach peak health and performance. Work with real athletes and teams – from recreational to elite – through our extensive network of sports partners. You'll graduate ready for a dynamic career in sport, exercise or rehabilitation.
Explore the field of human biosciences and understand the foundations of how we function. From there, you'll build your knowledge in exercise physiology and psychology, as well as human anatomy, movement and learning.
Hone your ability to help athletes achieve sporting success by carefully fine tuning their individual training. You'll also discover how to improve community health and behaviours by working with groups such as the elderly, adolescents and athletes undergoing rehabilitation.
Learn from lab sessions and case studies, as well as lectures, seminars and workshops. Furthermore, you'll gain hands-on experience and build professional relationships through industry placements. You will also gain experience delivering exercise to apparently healthy clients in local gyms and hospitals.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Prerequisite
Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.
Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in any one of Biology, Chemistry, any Mathematics, Physical Education or Physics.
Subject adjustments
VCE: A study score of 25 in Health And Human Development, any Mathematics, Physical Education or any Science equals 4 aggregate points per study. A study score of 20 in any LOTE equals 4 aggregate points per study. Overall maximum of 12 points.
