Nationally Recognised Higher EducationThe Bachelor of Educational Studies/Master of Teaching (Primary) pathway allows you to graduate with a Bachelor of Educational Studies, and a Master of Teaching (Primary) and become an accredited Primary teacher. This pathway can be completed in four years full-time study for school leavers, or as little as two-years full-time study for people entering the pathway with previous vocational or university study and relevant work experience.
The Bachelor of Educational Studies/Master of Teaching (Secondary) pathway allows you to graduate with a Bachelor of Educational Studies, and a Master of Teaching (Secondary) and become an accredited Secondary teacher. This pathway can be completed in four years full-time study for school leavers, or as little as two-years full-time study for people entering the pathway with previous vocational or university study and relevant work experience.
If you are an already accredited teacher and are looking to retrain as a Primary or Secondary teacher, or add to your teacher accreditation; the Bachelor of Educational Studies allows you to complete the required study to meet your retraining or accreditation requirements.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
To qualify for this course, you must accomplish one of the following:
- Minimum ATAR required (including adjustment factors)
- Successful completion of two university level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies
- A completed AQF Certificate III or higher level qualification
- 50% completion of an AQF Diploma level qualification
- Successful completion of a Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies
- Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) with an equivalent ranking to the currently listed ATAR
- Two years full-time (or equivalent) work experience that demonstrates the development of literacy, analytical skills, and social-historical knowledge.
