Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) (Accounting)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationHonours in Commerce is a program offered within the College of Business and Economics that offers students who have excelled in their undergraduate studies a challenging but rewarding year of study in various disciplines.
Students who achieve excellent academic performance in their accounting studies will be eligible to apply for the Honours year.
The program extends undergraduate studies in financial accounting, management accounting, auditing and taxation. Students undertake advanced coursework and a research thesis. Classes are conducted in a seminar setting. Students will have the opportunity to interact with research active academic staff, engage in the analysis of advanced accounting issues, and develop critical thinking skills.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- At a minimum, all applicants must meet program-specific academic/non-academic requirements, and English language requirements. Admission to ANU is on a competitive basis as the number of places available in a program is limited. Admission to Honours is also subject to supervisory capacity and approval from the relevant Delegated Authority within the Academic College.
- An AQF Level 7 Bachelor Degree, or international equivalent, completed within the last two years.
