Bachelor of Business (Honours)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationHonours programs in Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, International Business, Tourism, and Politics and International Relations are available. Potential Honours students should consult with the Newcastle Business School towards the end of the semester prior to that in which they intend to enrol.
Program learning outcomes
On successful completion of the program students will have:

- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of theory, models and concepts relevant to the disciplines of Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, International Business, Tourism, and Politics and International Relations.
- Display proficiency in the utilization of information and technology in research.
- Apply skills that incorporate understanding of global, social and ethical issues.
- Apply theory and method at an advanced level to conduct independent research/project of professional quality in their selected field.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Eligibility for admission to this program is based on applicants having completed a Bachelor degree in a cognate area with a minimum GPA of 5.0:
- across all studies undertaken within the program; or
- across a major in the proposed area of study; or
- across 80 units of 3000 level courses (which must include at least 40 units of 3000 level courses in the major where a major exists); or
- where the applicant has completed less than 80 units at 3000 level, a GPA of 5.0 calculated from at least 60 units of 3000 level courses (which includes at least 40 units of 3000 level courses in the major where a major exists).
In exceptional circumstances, an application which does not meet the above requirements may be considered.
