Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationThis is a prestigious program of coursework and research in Biomedical science for high achieving students who have completed the Bachelor of Biomedical Science or a comparable degree course.
You will undertake research methodology training and carry out an independent research project in your specialist field, working closely with a supervisor who will provide you with individual guidance and academic counselling. The course offers a pathway to higher level research in biomedical science.
There is a wide breadth of biomedical research available in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, providing a high degree of flexibility for you to pursue your honours year in a field of your choice.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Completion of all requirements for the award of the pass degree of Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University, or a comparable qualification in biomedical science. Monash students require an average of 70% or higher in at least 24 points at third-year level (including at least 12 points in biomedical science core units).
- Students applying for admission based on comparable qualifications in biomedical science will need to demonstrate that they have achieved an appropriate standard in studies comparable to the biomedical science core units and have an appropriate academic standard at third-year level.
