Prerequisite courses cover essential topics, with higher-level courses covering mathematical analysis, probability bioinformatics, mathematical biology and many other subjects.

Graduates go on to research positions at universities, government agencies and private companies. There are also opportunities in banking, finance, insurance and risk management. You could study Calculus & Linear Algebra I, Multivariate Calculus & Ordinary Differential Equations, Mathematical Analysis and, Probability Models & Data Analysis

Our subject prerequisites are listed as Queensland Year 12 General subjects, but you can also meet them by passing equivalent subjects through:

  • Australian high school, including Queensland Senior, interstate Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB)
  • Overseas high school or International Baccalaureate (IB)
  • Tertiary study, including university subjects, and bridging and preparatory programs.
  • Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent)
  • General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C)
  • IB 24.5 & AQF Level 7
      • Additional requirements may apply.
