International Relations
In the International Relations major you will explore world politics, policies, and the social-historical impact of global development. You will develop a global outlook to better understand the world around you and be provided with the theoretical frameworks and the relevant professional skills to make a difference. The major also prepares you for a career in many industries that reach a global scale.

Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
2024 Year 12 entry
Bond University’s Year 12 Early Guaranteed Offer Scheme recognises the challenges students have faced over the past few years of senior schooling. Eligible students can receive an offer to study at Bond in 2024 before final ATAR or IB Diploma results are released, providing certainty about your future study options.
Finished secondary education
If you completed secondary education more than two years ago, you can still refer to these results in your application to study at Bond. We will also take into account whether you have additional qualifications, including formal qualifications such as Senior External Examination results, higher education study, VET study and diplomas, or work and life experience.
Overseas high school or other overseas qualifications
If you completed your secondary schooling overseas or hold other educational qualifications overseas, your application will be assessed using the Australian Government Department of Education's Country Education Profiles and QTAC assessment schedules on overseas assessment.
Vocational Education and Training (VET) Study
Your application may also be considered based on previous vocational education and training (VET) study.
Prior Higher Education Study
If you have already completed study at a tertiary institution, your application will be assessed based on the subjects you have completed or attempted to complete. If you have completed studies in a field related to this program, you may also be eligible to apply to receive credit towards your Bond qualification.
Work and Life Experience
Another way to gain entry into a Bond program is by demonstrating your work and life experience. Your professional and para-professional qualifications and experience can be considered in your application, including some creative arts, language and civil aviation qualifications, memberships of professional associations for which qualifying exams are taken, and police, defence and emergency services experience. Keep in mind that if the program has prerequisite subject requirements, you will still need to meet these.
The Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)
If you did not complete Year 12, or do not have any formal academic qualifications, you can sit the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) and use this result to apply for entry into this program.
Work Experience
You may use prior work experience to apply for entry into this program. To do so, you will need to provide documentation of your employment history, including providing a statement from your employer about your position, time in the role, and a brief overview of the role you performed.
