Nationally Recognised Higher EducationIndigenous Studies explores the complex relationship between Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples and the knowledge, perspectives and the lived experiences of Indigenous peoples and the effects of colonisation – throughout deep time, pre colonisation and in a contemporary context.
Of particular focus are the traditional understandings and ongoing experiences of the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Indigenous Studies focuses on the continuity of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, knowledge, and customs through time and space. Indigenous Studies introduces students to the variety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as their traditional links to country and to one another.

You must have successfully completed 6 months of full-time study at a recognised higher education institution and received a minimum cumulative GPA of 4.9 out of 7.0, or minimum average results of approximately 65-70%.
You may be eligible to apply directly after high school and must provide your High School Certificate (or equivalent). These applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
