Nationally Recognised Higher EducationThis prestigious honours program allows you to pursue your passion for your selected area of study, via a fourth year of specialised coursework and research. The program is open to graduates with excellent results from a relevant undergraduate pass degree. The Honours degree involves you deciding on your thesis topic in conjunction with your academic supervisor, who then provides individual advice and guidance as you engage in depth with the subject, research and write your thesis.Completion of an Honours course provides prospective employers with proof of your advanced research, analytical and communication skills, and your ability to complete an independent and in-depth project over a sustained period of time. Honours graduates are often targeted as potential managers and leaders in large corporations.
Honours studies in this area will advance your knowledge and competencies in the discipline of Chinese studies. You are required to complete 48 credit points of study comprising a thesis and two coursework units. The coursework units and the thesis topic are chosen in consultation with the honours coordinator.

Qualifications
- An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with minimum overall WAM of 75.
- Applicants must meet the undergraduate requirements of their chosen Honours area of study including: 48 credit points of studies and obtained a distinction grade average (75%) or above in 24 credit points at level three.
English entry requirements
- IELTS (Academic): 6.5 Overall score, with minimum band scores: Listening 6.0, Reading 6.0, Writing 6.0 and Speaking 6.0
- Pearson Test of English (Academic): 58 Overall score, with minimum scores: Listening 50, Reading 50, Speaking 50 and Writing 50
- TOEFL Internet-based test: 79 Overall score, with minimum scores: Reading 13, Listening 12, Speaking 18 and Writing 21
