Assist Clients with Medication Skill Set
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This skill set is ideal if you are working or studying to work in various care and support roles in the community services industry and wish to develop skills in supporting people to self-administer medication. Workers in this field need accredited training in preparing and providing medication assistance as a requirement of employment.
This course is held over nine days which includes six hours of face-to-face classes with practical workshops assessed via simulation and in the workplace. Delivery can take place at the SWTAFE Warrnambool campus or a suitable health or care facility.
This skillset is designed in collaboration with industry partners and is for current workers, trainees and/or students within the sector. You must hold or be studying a minimum qualification at Certificate III level involving provision of direct client care or support.
