Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course is intended for people who wish to work at higher levels in the building surveying profession. The qualification is the minimum required for national appointment as a Building Surveyor (Limited, as defined by the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS)).

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
In order to enrol in this course, you will need to first be working in the Building Surveying industry and/or have access to a Building Surveyor as your mentor.
To meet academic requirements for Diploma or Advanced Diploma courses, you need to successfully complete any TasTAFE course entry procedures and you also need to:
- Have completed year 12 and provide TasTAFE with a copy of your Australian Senior Secondary Certificate of Education awarded to you by an agency or authority of a State or Territory; OR,
- Provide TasTAFE with a copy of a qualification at Level 4 or above in the Australian Qualifications Framework that was awarded to you. This qualification must have been delivered in English; OR,
- Complete an approved language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment and display competence at or above Exit Level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) in both literacy and numeracy.
