The Diploma of Local Government (Operational Works) is a nationally recognised qualification for managers and supervisors who need the skills to direct multiple crews, distribute operational work out to people, and make sure the work is done to specification. Apart from gaining practical knowledge specific to local government (eg, developing a works Maintenance Schedule, and managing a Civil Works Project) you’ll also gain skills in leadership, personal productivity, and operational safety. Graduate with the confidence to setup into a higher level of leadership, or simply work and communicate more effectively with different Council departments and networks.
