The SIRCIND002 Support the Supply of Pharmacy Medicines and Pharmacist Only Medicines outlines the skills and knowledge required to source and use regulatory information and pharmacy compliance procedures for customer transactions involving Pharmacy Medicines (S2) and Pharmacist Only Medicines (S3). Therapeutic advice or the supply of S3 medicines must be referred to a pharmacist. This supports the role of pharmacy or dispensary assistants, who must comply with relevant laws and guidelines and work under a pharmacist's direct supervision when supplying scheduled medicines.
