Sound Technician

A Sound Technician uses audio equipment during performances such as television, movies, radio, digital content or live concerts and stage shows. You might record sound for editing or make sure live audio is of a suitable quality. Sound Technicians set up and monitor audio equipment and might enhance, edit and mix sound during the production process.

Sound Technicians should have excellent technical skills and strong attention to detail. It’s important you can work as part of a team and follow a production brief. Sound Technicians should be flexible in the way they carry out their duties and have good problem solving skills. You may have to work irregular hours in this role.
