A Recycling Officer processes recyclable materials found in waste products. You might collect recyclable waste from homes, businesses or industrial operations and prepare it for processing. Recycling Officers might operate machinery such as collection vehicles, separating equipment or compaction plant.

Recycling Officers should be safety focused and have excellent attention to detail. It’s important that you can follow correct procedures and work as part of a team. Recycling Officers need to be physically fit and able to carry out a range of manual labour tasks. You’ll need to be organised and have good time management skills.
