Production Technician

A Production Technician assembles and checks components and parts in a range of manufacturing settings. You might work in vehicle assembly, produce electronic equipment or create various types of products. A Production Technician, or Manufacturing Technician, may be responsible for a particular section of a product or may put together the entire structure.

Production Technicians should have strong technical skills and an excellent eye for detail. You’ll need to be good with your hands and able to manage your time well. Production Technicians may specialise their skills for a particular industry or be flexible with their knowledge so they can work on a range of products. You’ll need to be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
