Marine Mechanic

A Marine Mechanic conducts repairs on boats, ships and maritime equipment. You might deal with faults and replace parts or carry out scheduled servicing. A Marine Mechanic, or Boat Mechanic, may install new engines, instruments or other components. You might specialise in marine engines or work with all onboard systems.

Marine Mechanics should have strong analytical skills and be able to use their technical abilities in a range of circumstances. You’ll need to be a good problem solver and have strong attention to detail. Marine Mechanics should be able to communicate clearly and work well in a team environment.
