Marine Engineer

A Marine Engineer carries out maintenance and repairs on shipping equipment. You’ll work on a range of marine vessel systems from mechanical and hydraulic equipment to marine electrical systems. Marine Engineers might conduct routine servicing or attend to problems when they arise. You might also install new equipment when required.

Marine Engineers should have excellent technical abilities and be able to adapt their skills to a range of circumstances. It’s important that you are a good problem solver and have keen attention to detail. Marine Engineers must be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
