Interior Designer

An Interior Designer creates overall looks for indoor environments in a range of settings. You’ll liaise with clients to understand their needs and develop a concept for their design. Interior Designers consider things such as lighting, colours and furniture to achieve a particular aesthetic style. You might specialise in residential homes, retail spaces or commercial areas.

Interior Designers need to have a creative eye and strong attention to detail. You’ll need to be up to date with current trends and able to work to a budget. Interior Designers need strong communication skills as they liaise with clients and tradespeople. You might need good problem solving skills and should be highly organised as you’ll usually work on several projects at once.
