Horse Breeding Assistant

A Horse Breeding Assistant helps with breeding and raising horses for a range of purposes. You might specialise in racing horses or breed horses for dressage, working or show jumping. Horse Breeding Assistants might organise stud services and arrange horse transport. You may also be involved with artificial insemination processes.

Horse Breeding Assistants should have excellent animal handling skills and a strong understanding of horse behaviours. You’ll need to be able to work as part of a team and communicate well with colleagues and owners. Horse Breeding Assistants may have to work irregular hours when required.
